    Mihec 525 Slugs

Here is my first outing with the Mihec two cavity sabot mould. I am using my Winchester SX2 with fully rifled barrel and iron sights. The first target was shot at 50yds and show good promise and the second photo is at 100yds. I am using Winchester AA hulls, WAA12F114 wads and 23gr of HS-6 powder. My sabots are coming out at 500 grains.

I very rarely shoot past 50yds since the woods are so thick.

They try telling me that I'm crazy but we know better.

Hello Shedhunter, help is on the way, your load is q u i t e mild for hunting, please try 28, 29, 30, 31 & 32 gr charge of HS-6, at this point it will snap back and let you know that you just shoot a Bazooka and this load will harvest for Hogs, Bear and Deer ! ! !
Have fun while you are at it.

I was starting out with Lyman data and will bump it up to 28gr of HS-6 and work from there. I will keep this updated when I load some more. Thanks for the info

SX2 is a sweet shotgun. Always wanted one and would add the Sure Cycle system for the ultimate set-up.

Sure Cycle system, I had to look that one up. If I ever have any problems with either of my SX2 shotguns will have to check them out. The SX2 shotguns have been my most reliable semi-auto's yet.

The SX2/3/Maxus are the fastest cycling shotguns. The Sure Fire system just makes them and other models that Sure Fire covers, more reliable. Well proven upgrade. My dream would be a have an SLP aka SX2 with Sure Cycle.

44 grains blue dot with a aa hull and 12r wad is a good combination in my h&r ultra slug.
