This bullet feeds fine my 03A3 and lever action 30-30. Maybe polishing your feed ramp will help.

4Seems I am resurrecting this old post just to know how everyone solved about coal on this mould.
here is my thread about so I whont repeat
http://castboolits.gunloads.com/show...rt-on-my-rifle
groups at 56 yards, free hands no rest, are very fine, mould works good either on my 30-30 win 94 and my 308 Browning X-Bolt Stalker, so the mould is definitely worth to have

Since Miha is doing a rerun of this I wanted to check and see how this bullet has been doing for you guys who have had this one a few years now. Looking at running this in a 30-30 marlin as well as a few bolt guns. Any stability issues at longer ranges?

My 308 is a Rem 700. Shoots the bullet great, I just don't like the fact that I have to single load them, instead of them feeding from the box magazine.
Works great in an old Glennfield 30/30 which my son hunts with. Has brought home the venison and bacon Longest shot was 142 yards on a deer and I believe this is the 3rd season he will be using it. I may try it in a .308 AR at some point but too many projects right now.
Does it nose dive into the lower breach area or not even make it out of the magazine? I will also be running these in several bolt action rifles myself (savage axis, Ruger Precision..etc) and am holding my breath a bit on if it will feed or not.

It should feed in center feed DM's and cone breeched rifles like the CRF Winchester M70 and Springfield 03's and 03A3's..
Same goes for Lever Actions..
My question is:
What is the nose dia. just ahead of the crimp groove and the length of the bullet between the base and the crimp groove?
Need this info to see if it will chamber in my late model Remlin 336Y 30-30 and keep the bullet base in the neck and out of the shoulder area..
I would be using this bullet as a grease groove bullet and generally cast using WW/Pb @ 70/30...
Thanks!

First try at my new re run mould.
Just 50/50 ww and soft lead air cooled.
Next time I may water quench them.
50 yards single shot 30-30 just with elbows on the bench. nothing too scientific.
Just two five shot groups . One paper patched and the other gaschecked.
Just a load of adi 2205 which starts to burn clean in my gun.
Don't use gas checks normally so it is a bit of a new thing for me seating etc.
Good enough for me as it is and next time may try harder to shoot better.
And I'll get better at using the mould.
Ohh lube is simple lube pan lubed cos dipping I couldn't fill the lube grooves up like a loverin I usually use.

Happy as with the mould.
A bit of tweeking and I'll be good to go.
Cheers
Has anyone figured out the B.C. of this bullet yet.
I seen to have no end of trouble using those bc calculators.
I sort of figure maybe 0.240 ish
Anyone ???
