    Very First Run

Much thanks to the folks on this site with lots of info to share. Today I cast and coated my first bullets ever. I've been reloading for almost 20 years but this is new ground to me. Took some SOWW from lead strips with 2 way tape to 200 125gr 9mm boolits finished in Klass Kote 2 part epoxy. Coated and cooked twice, sized to .356 and they passed the hammer test.

Hopefully I can load up 50 in the morning and test them at the range in the afternoon. If they shoot straight I will use the remaining 150 in a steel match Tuesday night in my 9mm 1911.

when you let them dry a bit before cooking them did you position them on their bases or were some on their sides?

At first I stood them on their bases to cook, but it was a pita. I ended up just spacing them out on no stick foil and cooking them.

Looks good.. I too, am interested in your range results. Also, did you add a little JPW to the warm boolits before and after sizing?

If this works well for pistol boolits, I would really like to see a test on say.. 30.06 or the like.
