Got my first paycheck as a martial arts instructor.

I had to post this somewhere.... Don't mean to offend anyone who doesn't like to see someone pat themselves on the back.

I got my first check for teaching Krav Maga. I'm certified now, also, to teach open handed gun disarming and to teach Defensive Tactics to law enforcement and security personnel. Until recently, I've basically been apprenticing, but now I'm getting paid. It's small but its a start and I feel grateful and blessed.

Grats on the achievement. Took a lot if work so don't feel bad for stepping back and patting yourself on the back.

Good for you. That is a discipline that I would be interested in. Practical useful efficient martial art.

There is nothing to be ashamed about for getting money for putting in your time and effort. I applaud and congratulate you. I hope it is only the 1st of many checks to come.

This is America. You should not feel bad for being proud of EARNING your money.

Congratulations ! And as far as patting yourself on the back there is a big difference between bragging and sharing an accomplishment among friends. FB

The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.― H.L. Mencken
