How many of us own more than one handgun of the same make and model?

I feel a bit crazy for even considering picking up another example of a handgun type I already own when I could introduce myself to something new instead, but I've found a particular model and type "clicks" with me, and so I'd like to pick up another one to dedicate to boolit shooting with a bespoke barrel.

So how many of us own more than one handgun of the same make and model?

I'm beginning to understand the mantra of being a one-handgun man, but I'm not sure if that mantra entails literally only one handgun or if it's not uncommon to have multiple examples of that one handgun type.

can`t have too much of a good thing

The way I solve the problem , for the one gun type of thinking is you have to have a( pair and a spare) just to make sure all base`s are covered. Just for the record I have as many as 4 of the same type of handgun`s.

The same question could be asked of duplicate rifles.

That describes FORD cars (not trucks)!

    FORD........Fix Or Repair Daily.

A recent auto industry study found 90% of all Ford cars built since 2000 are still on the road. The other 10% made it home.

Never mind me.......just babbling, lots of baaaaad experiences with their cars.

The single most important situation where one ought own two identical firearms is your primary carry pistol. The logic being that if one is involved in an incident and "borrowed" for evidence that you have an identical firearm which you are intimately familiar with as your back up. I have a pair of Colt Defenders for exactly that purpose, one has a Robar Super Deluxe customization on it, and the second was done by the Colt Custom Shop.

A pair of sequentially serial numbered Ruger New model Vaquero's. Intention was to get more involved with S.A.S.S.. Other considerations are keeping me from that. Love them tho...

At least it doesn't require another set of dies and moulds.
