    Straight lithium grease anyone?

The old NRA reloading book states "lithium greases are best".Anybody take up that offer?
The book was written like 1960 or so.How does it compare with the beeswax mixes/Lyman ideal concoctions?

almost any of the lithi/bee, lithi/bee/micro lubes can be made to work great, but too much or straight lithium grease will give you weird vertical dispersion as well as lubesicles coming off your muzzle and a host of other issues. It truly is a balancing act of slickies/stickies and body just as excess650 has pointed out.

i'm in favor of more like 30% lith grease.
it has some wonderful property's but too much and you cannot control the release of the oils.
much more than that and you start having temperature swings affecting your groups consistency.
