Heres a copper solvent some high power shooters used to make. 1 gallon 28% ammonia 2 tablespoons hydrogen peroxide and hang a length of copper wire in it for a couple days. It will turn a very pretty blue color Hence the name Blue Goo. I used to remember the transformation that took place. But it supposedly was a great copper remover. I never like amonia for barrel cleaning so didnt use it.

Eds Red for cast and powder fouling as well as short term bore protection, Montana Extreme Copper Killer for jacket fouling (safe to leave in the bore), and Corrosion X for long term protection. Many others were tried, most worked okay, but these are what I know will work.

im another fan of wiipeout but ive been using gunslick pro lately because it comes in a bigger can that cost less. Also have tried patch out and it works well. Only downside to all of these products is if you get them in your action they will gum stuff up pretty quick and even seem to cause parts to rust if left on indefinetly. Patch out is much easier to control that problem with.

1/3 Kroil, 1/3 mineral spirits, 1/3 ATF. Works for me anyway.
45 AUTO! Because having to shoot someone twice is just silly!
