It was a year ago today that Em left us. The hurt has lessened and we are better able to deal with the loss. The hole in our lives remains but so does the memory of the beautiful young woman with the off beat sense of humor. Her most often asked questions were "Do you need any help?" and "Are you doing ok?" We will never stop missing her but also treasure the memories.

You all can not know how much your prayers and support meant to Janet and I during very dark days.

It has been 2 years. We went into her room today. We don't go in there very often. The pain is a little less the longing is still there. The memories of good times are very strong. We leaned hard on a lot of folks.

Mrs. Thumbcocker tends her flowers and I tend my pistols and we lean hard on each other. Em will always be her baby girl and nothing will change that. I have come to grips with the finality of things and my lack of ability to change them. I don't like the powerlessness of the situation but there it is.

Thank you all for your support and being there. It DOES matter and it DOES help.

Three years today. The privilege of having the company of the best human being we have ever known out weighs the loss. There is no doubt in our minds that had we known there would be much pain at the early loss we would not hesitate to be a part of sharing this remarkable person with the world for 21 years. Rest easy Em. You are loved and missed.
