    5744 for the 03A3 and M39

Anyone use this powder for these cartridges ?
I just loaded up 25.0 and 25.5 under the Lee 312-185 for the 03A3 but won't get
a chance to try them until next weekend.
Also plan to try it under the 312299 for the 03A3 and the M39

Am using same bullet with around 23Gr. for a little over 1700 fps in an A3 2 groove. I have some loaded under an NOE 314299 for an '03 but like you will not get them out till next weekend.

Excellent as long as you don't try to make "reduced loads". Then it starts to leave half-burned kernels in the bore and chamber. A favorite of mine for many years. I use it in Krag and 7.5x55, and have used it in .35 Remington.

I have used it but found that SR4759 does the same thing at usually at least $3 per pound cheaper.

I use 5744 and #314299 (ww alloy sized to .310") in a Springfield. Bullet weight is 205 grs. with gas check. MV is 1660 with 21 grs. A couple of loads that are slightly slower and almost as accurate are 19 grs. SR4759 & 21 grs. IMR4198.

Well the 25.0 did not well, over 2" at 50yds
    The 25.5 did 1" @ 50yds.
