    Your thoughts on my Boolit

I was thinking of having a mould cut of this design
It would be a strictly meat boolit
    It is Out of WW + 2% tin , 270 gr , .454 Di with a 80% meplet
    Cut for Gator check

It would be used in both a 45 Ruger 45 colt and a 454 RSRH
I thought I might want to push it a little faster/higher pressures in the 454
So I went with a GC design

    I have thick skin
So if you see a flaw don't be afraid of speaking up

    Bullet Design

About the only change I would make is to widen the front driving band. I like a wide meplat but wonder if you might have trouble getting one that wide to shoot well.Providing it shoots well it should be an excellent hunting bullet.Good luck.

Put an empty case in the revolver chambers and use a caliper to measure from the bottom of the base to the front of the cylinder. Subtract a few .ooo's for clearance. With this measurement, you can determine the nose length which is the top of the crimp groove to the top of the bullet's nose. Choose the metplat width, nose length, crimp groove length and weight. I like a bullet that has an approx. .100" front driving band and equal length to 110% body bands/groove relationship. Some lever guns need a slightly shorter front driving band.
