    Foam Padding for gun cases

    Anyone have a suggestion on a supplier for some egg crate type foam to line a custom gun case? Don't need to buy a mattress pad....

    I am a hoarder. Which basically means I don't throw anything away. bubble wrap and the foam you mentioned are among the things I don't toss. Check with a local computer store and maybe they have some. you'd be suprised at the amount of bubble wrap one can accumulate. Frank

    Check rehab cntr and retirement homes. They sometimes have torn (unused) mattress covers, that are to be disposed of. Ask for them to use, to protect fishing rods, as the mention of guns can be a red flag.

    Check craft shops found some plain flat panels in 2'x2' and 3'x'3 at local Crafts 2000. White only, I am also looking for egg crate style in black or gray.

    Egg crate foam is also popular as sleeping pads found at your local sporting goods retailer.
