Ruger LCRs

Does anyone have any experience with the Ruger LCRs. I'm thinking of trying the 22lr version.

I have the .38 version also and it is an excellent little pistol. It is a short range proposition type gun.

I really like my 38 Spl. I can really scare the bajeebers out of those vicious cow pies at 50 yds. Don't hit too many of them but come awfully close.

Really like my LCR .357. Trigger is really nice. Some criticize the fact that it can be short stroked. Not a problem for me. Pull trigger, fully release and repeat. Perfect weight for +P .38 at 17 oz.

I too have the 38 version as my daily carry. Changed out the stock front sight to a tritium. My reloading log shows I've shot almost 4000 158gr 358665's without hiccup.

Now I've never tested the 22lr version but from what I've read, the triggers are not the same as smooth as the 38/357.

I have personally never used one but my boss carries one with him every day. As he put it to me, "Eight reasons to leave me alone." He shoots it regularly and has clocked a couple thousand rounds without a hiccup and he says it is accurate enough.

I ran a box of 22's through my brother's LCR 22 last fall and was very favorably impressed. The trigger is a bit heavy, but I was gettin groups at 12 yards that I could cover with the palm of my hand. I can't shoot a snubby any better than that. I toyed with the Idea of getting one for myself, but I have 6 22's already, Including three colt woodsmen, a Browning Nomad, a K-22 and a S&W M-63. I think it would be a great trainer for anyone who carries the 38 or 357 versions, or just a nifty 22. The trigger pull is too heavy for most juveniles, though, so I'd choose something else if teaching kids to shoot might be on the agenda.

the LCP?

Great little guns. Short stroking the trigger has never been an issue in the .357s and .38s I've fired but with the .22 I have managed to skip a chamber. Every one I've shot shoots pretty close to the sights....at least with some bullet weight/load.

I'm real happy with my .38spl LCR. I carry it a good bit. I put the Bantam boot grip on it and a XS front sight. Accurate little gun!

I like mine, I have one in .357 and am borrowing on in .22LR right now while I recover from major surgery. The .22 doesn't shoot as well as the .357 IMHO, but it doesn't need to I guess, I've dropped little steel poppers at moderate ranges with mine.

Mine is in 38 and I'm happy with it and it and I like a mild dose of HP-38 and a 158 grn SMWC or a RNFP it just depends witch one I load in it.

I dunno the .357 full house loads are a handful, at 17 oz I think even a .44 special would rock pretty good. I've always kind of wanted to try a bulldog in .44 spl but havn't found one for sale in a while.

I really like my 357 too. In fact, I carried it yesterday.

It has digested many full strength 357s, which is fairly stout yet manageable. and thousands of 38s...

The HighVis front sight is a nice upgrade too.
