    So the bottom of the 7.5x55 is the same as a 44MAG.
    Slap om a barrel and do a mag-job, that's it.

    Now that would be a good use for a sporter. If you had an extra magazine, it would not have to be a permanent alteration as long as you remembered where you kept the original barrel and magazine.

    Maybe not haveta sacrifice a mag - lotsa Enfields have been converted to .45 using a 1911 mag. and some ingenuity. Definitely different !

    If the chamber insert in my 30-30 converted 1889 ever comes loose I think that might be th way to go
