Please do not shoot cases without crimping. You might get delayed
partial ignition, where load moves into barrel, then stops making ab obstuction, and then
balance of charge starts up again and blows up the case and/or gun.
Best crimp for slugs and sabots is roll crimp.. Ed

that makes since, why do i see people here or on another forum talking about not using crimps? they seal with bees wax or some other kind of wax. and what about brass shells? i have read about just using a cork wad with some kind of sealing compound. also there is a .410 slug on some sight that i have seen that uses no crimp or a heat type crimp, produces amazing groups for a .410..

You can get a good seal with glue, sealers, or beeswax, Main
thing is to get good resistance. For brass I have cases set so
slugs push in real hard to get good resistance. On 410
the case diameter and hence powder charge diameter
being real small compared to 12,16,20 gauge
big diameter cases, ignition is 5 times easier. And the
slugs slide in tight compared to big cases..ED
