I found some 700-x. Does anyone have experience using this powder in a Dillon loader? I want to use it in a 9mm with cast 125 grain lee bullets. Thanks for your reply.

He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. Runs like butter in my Square Deal for .38's .
does as good as any other flake powder that size.
I've run it as low as 3.0 gains for 38 wad cutters. 550B with standard pistol bar.
It worked fine. Did need to get it settled down to stabilize. Tap the measure a little then cycle twenty times or so just to shake the powder into compaction. Once settled it stayed within .1 gr for me.
It works great. I happening upon a keg at a Gshow a couple years back and I'm down to about 2lbs. Meters about like Red Dot or other flake powder.
I like the way it meters and flows in my 650 but I have to load at least 4 grains under a 115 grain boolit for it to cocsistently cycle my 1911, EMP or HiPower.
Been thinking about using some powder rather than 700X. It IS a good powder for shotguns tho.

It works great in a dillon. lots of smoke for me. I tend to save it for the shotguns

I bought the 700 due to the powder shortage. I'd prefer something like Unique or Universal Clays (LOTS of smoke with it but it's cleaner than Bullseye). I shoot HEAVY loads of Univ under 255 grain boolits in my 1911 for bowling pins but I'd take anything I can get for plinking. There were only 2 8Lb kegs of 700 and 2 AA powder at the LGS so I opted for the 700. I'm a bit disappointed that I have to load book-max loads to cycle my 9mm 1911 and Hi Power. I've not tried it in the 45 yet but I'm not planning to load heavy with 700. It's for staying sharp and I'll use Univ for pins and factory LEO-type Ammo for carry.

My loading buddy and I are only about 20 pounds in so we may be noobs but YA. It meters great in the 650 and I hardly ever use the SDB since the 650 arrived but I'm pretty sure it worked fine.
