The only sub GB that is not over the magic # 10 is 360 GC

These 4 have come together FAST

More Good News Tooling for 41, 44 & 45 is in the works!

Swede posted he want's the 360 GC to go so is holding for 3 more "I want GC". That's a total of only 5 on the GC option which requires another tool for a GC run.

Me Thinks that there's not a lot of time left to get in on the 15% off. It closes when "It is on the machine"

NOE is hard on my wallet. I was surprised how big the metplat was on the .44.

What's the advantage of the HOLLOW BASE in the .38, .41 or .44 molds? I can understand it's use on the .45 mold as the throats and groove diameters can vary in the older forty fives.

Help to eliminate leading in ALL of them by more readily bumping up, to fill the cyl/bore?

I think basically that's it. A friend of mine had a hollow base Keith for the .44 and said it was one of the most accurate molds he had and he had a lot of them.

If the chamber is tight while the throat is loose, and the bore again is tight, it is difficult to have a solid diameter that fits all the way.
A HB wouldn't need to be oversize and/or could work at lower pressures.

A non-ideal chamber-throat-bore relationship is not unusual in common revolvers, like my Colt Officers Model Match .38 Special or S&W 629 .44 Magnum for example. There is a reason the Hollow Base Wadcutter was the most popular paper taget competition boolit.

Another point that was emphasized in the old days was that the same boolit is lighter for the same lenght and bearing surface, increasing velocity and reducing drop (429421 compared to 429422 or 360429 to 360431).

Last "I want" done for the NOE Real Keith GBs

GWM Thanks for sharing! Enjoyed the read!

Just signed up for the last "I want a GC " necessary to get multiple tooling for the 360 on the way. This was the "Last of the Mohicans"

Yippee. Guess I need to get off my duff and get some moulds sold now.

He did post the closing dates on each buy. And you will get a PM about the payment when they close. (and an email if your PM's are set up to be forwarded to your email.)

There will probably be quite a clamor on here as well when they close. I think we're all excited!

    Smile

Swede posted this on one of the GB at 9:30 this morning:

"All NEW Group Buys are "ON HOLD".
Our tool grinder is down and we cant get new form tools.
We are looking at other makers and avenues to work this out.
This is only a delay and we will get it resolved as soon as we can."

By tool grinder I think he means his tool supplier as he has used that reference for minor problems.

The Good News is there are a couple of extra days to get in on the GB and THAT = 15% off

It wouldn't hurt me to have a few days to roll a few more coins too!! Maybe I'll add another one or two orders with different options.

Beagle333, bion the same thought just entered my wee mind -- I wish I could add a couple with different options, but I will still keep the kids walking to and from school barefoot in the snow -- both ways uphill -- as I add one more of the glorious moulds to my order list! Thanks (???) for the suggestion!

    Go For M

I went HOG WILD to start with.

I've been wishing (lusting) for these molds for so many years I just closed my eyes and jumped in for a HB & HP of each of them. With the RGs I get both hollow and flat in one mould. I've tried enough RGs to be comfortable with the concept.
The last one was the 360 GC.
Now I need to order a 357 GC Checkmaker from Pat Marlins to go with my 357 PB checkmaker

Extra info: Experience from the NOE GBs I have participated in. It has been a week or so after "on the machine" before I get the email with the discount code. I guess it takes awhile to assemble the parts and with this big a GB I would expect a bit longer - Don't Panic

Guys, I have to apologize, with the way 2016 has started it is probably my bad luck that has caused the delay. Had I not ordered a 454 you all would be getting your dies sooner. Oh well, misery likes company. (Or as my 8 year old grandson says "NOT")
