Best Lube and technique for LEE bullets with tumble lube grooves ?

What seems to be the best for these type bullets.
Will be shooting the LEE C312-185-1R about 1800-1900fps

I tumble lube them with LLA. That's what they were designed for.

I hand lube with Felix lube, run through a Lee die to remove excess. The boolits work very good with a real lube.

The C312-185-1R has regular lube grooves, at least mine does and all the others I've seen. I suggest if you want to TL those bullets for that velocity you follow Lee's LLA directions. The directions are simple and straight forward and if done correctly the LLA lube will work fine for that bullet at that velocity assuming the alloy and powder used are correct and the GCs are seated correctly.

yep. The only TL rifle bullets are the 312-160 and 312-155 bullets. I pan lube my 312-185s with WWVA. You could tumble lube them and they'd be fine, though.

    WWVA lube;
    4 oz. paraffin
    4 oz petroleum jelly
    2 oz. Lee Liquid Alox
2 heaping tablespoons Johnsons Paste Wax [carnuba wax]
Heat components until all melted, then pan or dip lube. May require a heater for the Lyman or RCBS lubrisizers.
    Some times it's the pot,
    Some times it's the pan,
It might even be the skillet,
But, most of the time, it's the cook.

Pan lubing works very well. The boolits hold enough lube.

it'll still work melt the jpw first.
and hold melted for a few minutes, this will vent off the solvents.
then the wax and other stuff next.
i'd lower the vaseline to 2 oz's to begin with, and add it in after you see how the lube comes out for you.
