    T L Turtle Wax

I had run out of JPW and Trewax for tumble lubing. Looking around the garage I found some Turtle Wax Ingrediants not listed on can. I decided to try it anyway. Boolets (.45 180 SWC). They looked pretty strange after tumbling, rough and gritty looking. Loaded them anyway with 3.5 BE. Shot 50 at the range. After returning home and starting to clean the barrel, (expecting somewhat of a mess), it was clean as a whistle. No leading at all. Sometime a blind squirell finds an acorn!

I thought about using it once, outa jpw & late. I found some premium auto wax on the back shelf that was carnuba. I searched for the ingredients of turtle wax, all I found is its a "blend" of waxes. Glad it worked for you.

oh and something solvent like to keep it soft so you can wipe it on and so it will dry to that haze so you can wipe it off.

Some auto polishes have clay in them as a light abrasive to help remove oxidized paint. Don't know about Turtle Wax...

the polishes do,, it's a bentone clay.
    not a bad friction modifier.
the bentone clay's are also used for other things like thickening automotive greases.
