    Texan Rebuild

Thought i would try something different, got this Texan Shotgun press, serial no. 9572 on the top side of the base. Out of a warehouse that was closed for a while. press has seen better days and doesn't look like it has been used in a long time. I am in the process of restoring it back to it's former glory. Here's a few pics. Any info you members can give me would be a big help. Thanks

I think there's a manual for it here in an old post.It might take some searching, but I'm sure it's here someplace.

    Hello
I have bushings and might be able to help you
    with technical issues.
Do you have any other items? Like the spent primer
catcher? If not, an old metal Crossman Pellet can is
    a perfect replacement.

Is the primer tube made out of steel or brass. I have to make one for the press and want it to be period correct. Thanks

The one piece ones are Alum
The two piece ones are steel
If you want a quick one, you can use a cheap kitchen curtain rod

    Hi,
Very nice!!! I've got three of these and still haven't got to them to get one loading! I luckily went on an AR-15 build frenzy right before the Sandy Hook incident (one of the few times my timing was right) and all the reloading machine projects went on hold! What is so neat about these reloaders to me is the out right SOLID machine work that went into them. Without a doubt well worth the effort to bring them back to life!!! Here's one I bought! It also came with the primer tubes!

    Hi,
Shoot, the "buy it now" would be a bargain to me! I've got enough already but that looks like a nice machine! Does not have the auto primer feed but the cup-post setup is VERY easy to use and can even be preferable to guys like me. My DL-300 has the same setup and it works great! Thanks for the link!
