Came across an idea years ago that I thought to share. I had an expensive (to me) 3 hoop tunnel tent that I had owned for nearly 15 years. It had seen action, and was weary, but the worst was the seam seal had fallen off, and it leaked.

Simple fix, use an acid cure silicon, and reduce to 50/50 with mineral Turpentine. Use a narrow brush (1 inch I found best) and paint onto the seams, spending a bit of extra time on the stress points. Leave for 24 hours to dry properly and the seams of the tent are resealed against leakage.

I also have redone all the seams on a leaky ex army Hootchie. Made in 1969, and no longer leaks at the sewn through stress points. $11 investment, save me $100's on replacements.
