    Cabin tent on the tundra

I saw an odd sight this week. I made a couple trips up north this week, and someone has left a cabin tent (unknown brand) out on the bare tundra all winter. I can't imagine someone just leaving their tent, but I guess stranger things have happened.

What I thought amazing is that it is actually standing, and looks like it could even be usable, after a winter in some of the worst weather (wind) in the world.

Still Standing may be amazing. People to lazy to break it down is no surprise.
Many people have plenty of money who have never done a days work in there life.

Just maybe, some company/brand are doing a test to the survivability of a new tent design ????

Or maybe next time your up north again you should check if someones permanently inside.

LOL I mentioned that it might be a test to another trucker on the radio. lol I highly doubt it though.

If there was somebody permanently inside, they will be alright where they are till the bears come out. I have actually seen polar bears farther from the beach than this tent, so I doubt if there is a meal in it.

People are always parking in pullouts and taking off on snowshoes or cross country skis. There are a vehicle or two left in pullouts every year, I always wonder if people walked off never to return, or broke down and caught a ride.

I chuckle after every snow season ends where I hang out, there's always 2 or 3 cars just left in the carparks, over the years I have checked some off them out, they start, run well, no physical reason why left there & most are not junker's.

The local authorities usually leave them for a few months & then they disappear, wrecking yards get them I guess.

As GabbyM said, some people have more money than sense.
