223 gas checks made from used large rifle primers?

I just got a lyman 225415 and also got in on a group buy on another mold for 223. I keep looking at the boolits that I have cast and a ton of spent LR primers that I have in a jar. I'm thinking what if I annealing them then making a couple two step set up to turn them into gaschecks. I figure the first step would flare out the sides and remove the firing pin strike then the second would be a die to form a cup. I'm just thinking of yet another project that I don't need. What are your thoughts guys, could it be done.

You would probably be better off figuring out a way to convert 22lr brass into gas checks.

I didn't even think of that. This is more of a will it work idea but who knows could be fun

I used spent primers as a spitzer tip on my swagged .22 bullets they work great.
