    K98 fun!

I final went out and scratched the itch! I hadn't been shooting much as I don't want to deplete the ammo horde cause ammo is pretty much non exsistant in today's market. So I was going through the ammo pile and found 40 round of reloads- Lee 175gr GC over 16 gr Unique. So off to the range - spied some old metal monitor frames and someones leftover target at 166 yards and 218 yards. I said what the hell time to see what the old K98 will do passed 100 yards which where I usally shoot at. Load five rounds and start smacking the Monitor frames! Cool no problem! Click the rear site up one notch and start smacking the other target. Dam this old gun is a shooter! Thirty rounds later itch cured! I guess this old dog can still use the irons! Went down to look at the grouping on the targets- the monitor frames were more then minute of man, same with the target at 218 yards all with those fancy cast boolits!
