Refinish suggestions for a Ruger LC9S-Pro

I am constantly carrying a Ruger LC9Pro-S pistol...the factory finish is getting a little thin and I was wondering what you all would suggest for a slide redo and why....thanks in advance....Paul

    Dura-Kote.
It’s a flat matte finish that imitates parkerized. Very durable. Affordable.

Parkerizing is very easy and will protect the slide very well. My Kel-Tec P-40 was starting to rust from carrying it. I blasted it with aluminum oxide to remove the rust and original finish and then Parkerized it. Parkerizing can be done on the stove. It's very easy; you just have to get the metal clean and oil free. Manganese phosphate gives a much darker and to me more pleasing finish than the zinc finish.

I actually like the worn finish on a good used gun as long as it was me that did the wearing.

Personally I'd let it wear. Nothing you put on it will resist holster wear forever.
