Can a Master Caster be used to fill hand held molds?

I've got a MC on order, 6 weeks out. Is there a way to use it to fill standard hand held molds like Lee 6 cavity, Lyman, Michec etc.? Is anyone doing this? Any mods that need to be made?
    Thanks,

Called Magma. They suggested getting the stand for the pot with mold guides for $125. I'll wait and see how the MC system works and go from there.

I've tried it and it's not easy. By default, there's nothing to steady the mold beneath the orifice plate. Having 2 streams of lead coming out (unless you get a single-hole orifice plate) makes mold alignment more critical as well.

I've done it, but it's a pain. Like mktacop says, it's hard to get the two streams of lead properly aligned, and there's all the hardware up under the pot, too. Now I just use one of my old RCBS pots when I need some bullets from one of my handheld molds.

    Hope this helps.

Thanks. I'm holding on to my RCBS pot! I've got several HP molds.

There are 2 bolts that hold the pot to the Master Caster base. It shouldn't be too difficult to move the pot back and forth as long as it isn't completely full of lead (or hot).

The dbl oriffice & tight space would make it diff. Changing to a single is a PITA, just use it as is w/ Magma or Magma onverted molds. I use a Lee 20#PPV4 for hand casting.

I did it, but it was a pain. It was faster for me to dip alloy out of the pot than to try to get everything lined up. Like trying to get a tiny pizza in a tiny pizza oven.

i use one for hand casting and can't imagine using anything else for 2 and 4 cavity molds.
i have the single spout outlet, but just use the lee for single cavity molds.
runfiveslittlegirl just put up some pics in the our town section, i think you can see enough of the set-up to figure out what i done with the magma pot.

Just got a call for Magma today. They are shipping my MC tomorrow. It only took three weeks. Needless to say I'm looking forward to it!
