    questions for 375 H&H casters

I've just ordered my first casting equipment and a couple of pistol moulds. I just recently aquired a 375H&H and was wondering if others may have a suggestion on what type mold or tricks that might work best for this rifle... (commercial mauser if it makes a difference)

I've had excellent success with .375 RBs (TL lubed with LLA) for plinking/small game loads over 4 gr Bullseye, with 375248 over Unique at >1200 fps for plinking/small game and short range target and 375449 over 5744 and 4895 for general practice and big game hunting at 1850 - 2200 fps. My rifle is a M70 but the cartridge is the 375 H&H and it does as well in Mausers.

I am using a Lyman mold, 375449 I believe it is. I have had some fair results with 27 gr of 2400.
I am still messing with it to find what shoots best but that is a load I would use on deer to 100 yards in my CZ.

Thanks for the replys, I was wondering what type of gas checks you guys were using? Also I've seen post where individuals were making their own out of AL, and was curious to see if either of you had any experience with it?

I use Hornady. Never used any Al checks but I know others have had good luck with them.

I use Hornady CO's and also have some older Lyman's.......both work fine.
