My wife and I have gotten letters a few times over the years to show up for jury duty without the letters being registered.
Try telling the judge you never got the letter when he holds you in contempt of court.
Judges have no sense of humor when it comes to matters such as this.

wow - lots of interesting responses and some very creative suggestions! I have no problem complying with the census done every 10 years. this is different. it is a survey (a very invasive survey in my opinion) done by the census but not related to the one done in 2010. Someone said it earlier- if you knowingly give erroneous information that gives them something to get you on as opposed to not filling it out at all. I also found out that there was a bill last year to declare this "survey" unconstitutional and to have them stopped but it did not pass.
Will let you know what happens next. I just feel sorry for the person who decides to come to the back door - only to be greeted by Gretchen (my wonderful and very protective German Shepherd)!

+1 on what Mustang said. For anyone other than the sheeple, those shenanegans were common knowledge.
Information, other than the head count, is used for social engineering and liberal agendas.
i had some one from the census show up at the house. i told them how many lived in the house. after that they got i plead the 5th.
I got one last year never returned it and nothing came of it, since there is no way to verify who filled it out i was tempted to have fun with them by filling in bad information but it was not worth the effort!
When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.

Write on it their legal mandate is for an enumeration every ten years and that you satisfied that in 2010 and will be happy to update that information in 2020.
