    Mold for 300 Blackout

I'm looking for a 150gr Pointed design that I can use in the 300 Blackout. I would think that a 2 groove would be fine. GC of course. I have an NOE 311...can't remember the rest of the numbers that is pointed but 198 gr. Does anyone know who has a mold similar to what I want?

Lee 312-155-2R. Works great in my 300 blk.

15.3gr of H110 has been my go to load for this boolit for best accuracy and runs right around 1820 FPS or so. Seating depth will depend on your chamber.

The boolit Jailer mentioned works great in my Blackout. H110 seems to be a good powder, but give LilGun a try.

My current favorite boolit in the 300 is also the Lee 155, feeds perfectly and shoots well. I use it with around 15-15.5gr of H110/W296.

Ok, #3 to support the LEE 155. I also tried a FN 150gr LEE design which did not feed in my 20" AR which has the M4 Feed ramps in the barrel. The LEE 155 Spitzer just feeds fine enough that I stopped looking for an equal 150gr load. For my lighter cast loads, the Lyman 311359-120gr is fun as well.

311414 if you can find one. Doesn't shoot as well as 311365 in my gun but it's not bad.

I haven't found a design that my 300 really dislikes.

So you are saying you shoot the 311365 in your blackout? If so, I guess I dont need another mould as I really like that design.

I'll be building one up later this year (when things approach normal again), so I'm looking at these threads to plan ahead...

Yes the 311365 is my best shooting cast boolit out of my 300 Whisper.

I have a 311247 but can't seem to get them to fly straight. (note they appear to be tipping)

And the groups ain't nothin' to write home about.

These are out a 16" ssk 1-8 twist upper.

SCB, what alloy are you using in your 311365 and 311247? Gas checked? Haven't tried my 311365 yet, but the 311247 looks promising so far over subsonic charges of AA1680. These were plain base air cooled 50/50, sized .310 with carnauba red out of my 1 in 8" upper with carbine gas. These shot groups less than half the size of factory hornady 208 A-max ammo. (Don't hate. - It was given to me!).

Gonna have to try the 311365.

Don't really know. I'm using up some "lead" that was given to me by an old guy who had sold of his casting stuff. It's hard. He said it had "some" Linotype in it. If you drop a boolit on the cement floor it "rings". And if you drop one it's just as likely as not to break. The 311365 were gas checked. the 311247's were plain based.

So what about the RCBS 82022...130gr. Any body try it.... would it work or would one have have to size it down?

Straight COWW, nothing added, Gator gas checks, sized .309, some stick in the chamber of my upper if I size to .311, sons upper eats either size just fine.

50/50 WW/range scrap air cooled. Hornady checked and sized to .310 with MML for lube.
