    Mold Lube Question

Was wondering what would be a good mold lube? I have some bullplate on order but my mold has come earlier than expected and I want to use it this weekend. Any help in this matter would be appreciated thanks

    Bullplate is the best.

Before bullplate, I used beeswax or LLA.

    VERY SPARINGLY . . .

Seriously, wait for the Bullplate. Even if you have to wait an extra week. The only problem with Bullplate is if you run out. If so, you will wonder what people used before it and curse your molds for not having it. Also, the very first thing to do with your bottle of Bullplate is to transfer some to another small bottle and then securely cap the original bottle and place it in a secure location. A lot of people's first experience with Bullplate it to tip the bottle over as soon as it is opened and spill out half the bottle. I know this from personal experience.

+1 on that SciFiJim...one should NEVER be without the stuff when casting. I would also recommend waiting until it arrives.

Some good synthetic two stroke oil will work until the Bullplate arrives.

Can't get the Bullplate down here in Aus' so I've been useing the two stroke oil, works well.
