    Hard cast

Can someone steer me to a bullet manufacturer for 'hard' cast handgun hunting bullets? I'm looking for 45 in a variety of weights.

    before this goes any further.
the term "hard cast" denotes the use of antimony in the alloy.
if it's one percent it's "hard cast".
the term come into use to denote the difference between an alloy of just tin/lead,and one of tin/lead and antimony.

"Hard cast" is a relative term, often overused. Tell us what you want to do and what you want to load them in....and yes, Bullshop does have them.

We offer a range of hardness. We try to get to + or - 1 bhn point of the hardness the customer requests. We try!

Do you have a source to back that up? I thought hard meant.....you know, hard. One percent antimony in an alloy would not make it hard.

Elmer Keith referred to 12 BHN bullets as hard cast.

Any bullet caster can adjust hardness by alloy adjustment, heat treatment, annealing processes, or a combination of all three.
Due to their experience, I'm certain the Bullshop folks can hit a customer's needs pretty close.
