    Warm bag is great

I purchased a Warmbag this winter for treestand hunting and can say it is well worth the money. I use to layer up and after shooting a deer, I would track it only to be sweating by the time I got to deer. Then field dress it and drag back to my truck I would burn up and be miserable. On my way to treestand I would get hot and sweaty only to start freezing a couple of hours later. Now with the Warmbag I dress lightly and stay dry and warm all day. I was hunting the other week in 19 degree weather with 5-10 mph winds and was not affected at all while the others in my group met up early cause they were freezing.

looks like its a camo colored sleeping bag with arm slits cut into it. I haven't been hunting long, but it looks pretty dangerous to use in a treestand to me!!! I am a bit clumsy sometimes and don't think I could wiggle into that thing once up in the tree, but then I barely move at all once I get into the stand, still not used to being so high up and don't like heights at all. Just my .02

Can you wear it with a tree stand harness? Seems like that would be limited to large stands.

Have used the warm bag and the heater body suit. The heater body suit is warmer. The warm bag u don't expose your upper body to shoot. The heater body suit u have to. In the end I picked the heater body suit.

yes you can wear a safety harness and its not hard to put on while in stand. And yes it is like a sleeping bag with arm slits but its not noisey like a sleeping bag and its windproof. I have not bought a heater body suit but the reviews I read all said its warmer but bulkier and harder to put on when in na treestand so thats why I bought the Warmbag. Only complaint so far is that I get cold when I get out of it but that would happen with any of the main 3 bag systems Heater Body Suit, Warmbag and IWOM.

Will be interested in seeing just how long the company stays on the market. At the price they are asking, I would guess not very long!

they have been in business for quite a few years now and the price is not bad if you think of it. you dont have to buy $200 jacket, $100 pants, $100-200 boots not to mention long johns or expensive under armour which can cost you about $75-$150 and still end up needing more clothing. To each his own but personally for me it is well worth the money spent.

If you are hunting in Wisconsin it had better be in hunter orange, Unless you are bow hunting. If you are bow hunting how do you move with out spooking the deer? john

I bought the heater body suit and don't regret it a bit. I like the cold less and less as time goes on so I thought it well worth the money. I also liked the fact it's a small family owned American company. So if the warm bags works as well as the HBS it's probably well worth the asking price. FB

If I hunted in the cold I'd go for insulated leggings and a Pancho style cover. I want my feet free.

My grandpa had one of those. He brought it back from WW1. That was their sleeping bag.
