    Does this sound about right?

I cooked down my first bucket of indoor range lead today.
Ended up with 82.6 pounds of ingots and 25.3 pounds of
jackets, dust and goo. Do those percentages sound about normal
for range lead? Also, what might the goo be? Bonded bullets?
I was just curious how my cleaning technique worked compared to others
as far as yield. I gotta call my scrap yard and see how picky they are going to be on the
    scrap jackets

In my area, if the jackets have lead stuck to them, they price it much lower. Like from $2.00/lb. down to $.50/lb.

    Jim:

The ratio of recovering ~ 75% lead seems about right, with Jackets and Trash at 25% by weight in line.

When I look at my swage bullets, I am seeing about 17% of final weight being in the jacket. Dirt and trash at 8% from swept up from the concrete or berm mined lead would be about right.
