    NOE 341365 pointy 338

    [IMG][/IMG]

First effort with 341365. 12 gr of unique in a 338-06 at 100 yards. Seated way out to touch the lands. The holes look like Japanese Arisaka Crests

Some how I see a .338/308 bbl. for my Savage swap bbl. system.
Ammorhead, What rifle / bbl.twist. ?? Next time out, could you stretch it out to 200 yds.

The rifle is a custom 98 on an old Danzig 1901 action with a E R Shaw bbl put together by Steve Zihn back when he was living in NV. The bbl is shortened to 24.5" 1 in 10 twist. It has filled 3 NV cow tags and one 338" 6 pt bull tag plus numerous mule deer tags. It is one elk whackin SOB with 185 gr tripleshocks. I have taken one mule deer doe with a LBT 250gr wln that Veral made for me preprison back in 1990, but no cast boolit elk so far. It took the buck in my avitar back in 1994 with a 225 gr barnes X. Way too much bullet for mulies, but they sure dropped fast.

I plan on doing a lot more load development at 100 before moving out farther. But this boolit is showing promise right off the bat.

Like the look of the bolt handle on that one and the groups look to be good too!
