    Muddy Creek Sam has gone to another place to Serve

    Muddy Creek Sam, has passed away leaving his wife Katy who was his buddy in SASS shooting.
    I knew Sam from this forum and us having phone and e-mail conversations about the many things we had in common. One of those was the enjoyment of shooting Black Powder in our cowboy action shooting known as SASS. We talked about it for hours on end.
    Sam also is known by a large number of our members from his selling of lead to our fellow casters. He would always have extra in his boxes as he was a honest man who was already to help his fellow casters on this and other forums such as the SASS Net.
    Sam served his country in the US Navy and was proud of that fact.
    Very early on our friendship I advised Sam that I was coming his way to visit some family members. He advised me that he and Katy would open up their home to us and that we could stay as long as needed. That is who he was. I will miss him greatly. Later my friend

    The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

    To say we are diminished does not do justice to what I thought of Sam.

    Devastated better describes my state of mind at this moment.

    Prayers for Sam and Katy, and may we all remember that our members who have passed have families that are still with us--and we take care of our own.
