    30-30 Load Please

I've tried to do a such but came up dry.

I've got the use of a Coast to Coast bolt action 30-30 to play with. I'll be using a Lee C308 150FN boolit, with WLR Primers. Could anyone please clue me in as to a good start weight and max load to be launched with 2400?

    Thank you in advance

Nope I seriously couldn't find anything in a search which I thought was odd. And I'm being lazy. It's way below zero here, and I don't want to take the time to work up a load the normal way. So I'm hoping that given the round has been in use and hand loaded since at least 57BC some one would throw me a free bone to something that I should already know. My brain doesn't fire on all cylinders with it this cold. (this morning the mercury was at -22*F.) Should I just say "the load" and get my butt out side and get shooting?

My 336 likes 17 gr behind Lyman's 173 gr for a fuzz over 1700 fps. This is as fast as I can go with my soft alloy and 2400 before accuracy starts falling off. I also know for a fact its fast enough to do what I want it to do

i tried to search out 30-06 loads here before.
it was faster to guess and go shoot them than it was to find a load.
if i were starting with 2400 in the 30-30 i'd have to start near 17 grs.
and water drop a 150-170gr boolit.
same as i did in the other 30 cals.

12-14g is a good one for general woodswalking. For me 16g-17g was not as accurate.I go to slower stuff if i want a full hunting load.
