The vent rib will keep the barrel from melting when you do your best Ed McGivern immitation, firing 2,000 rounds in 7 minutes.

And then there's the model name on the barrel: Nothing says "Airsoft!" like PLINKER in large font/all caps/italic.

They need a conservative design team member at Braztech/Rossi to gently "tsk tsk" each time someone proposes ideas like this. The Wizard might have actually sold well if the stock didn't have the same grip shape as the logo for Ducks Unlimited. Maybe that person can split time and also help out at Mossberg, to keep things like the tactical lever gun from ever seeing the light of day.

And now we're reading that Taurus may be the buyer for Freedom Group when Cerberus dumps it.

Let me first say im a S&W fan , I have owned a few Taurus piostols that were satisfactory ,but there not a S&W Period one look at them externally and internally will show you that ! but the are a fairly good lower cost option to a S&W .
I my self would save a bit longer or buy a used S&W

I got all excited over the little S&W 317 kit gun. An FFL friend told me that the courtesy price would be $630.00 and he has no idea when he will be able to order one. Unless I stumble into a screaming deal it looks like the 317 is off the list. Same for the SP-101. I really like it but watched one go for $700.00 on Gunbroker a few days ago.
    Currently casting and loading: .32 Auto, .380 Auto, .38 Special, 9X19, .357 Magnum, .257 Roberts, 6.5 Creedmoor, .30 WCF, .308 WCF, .45-70.

    IIRC, The Norton semi-auto TP-70

    morphed into the Budischowsky TP-70

Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
