    I do I do !!! LOL
We use them here for deep sea Halibut and Lingcod fishing. I have My pride and Joy 9/0 Penn on a custom heavy rod Hanging on the wall in my living room with 130 lb Dacron line for the big "Barn door" Halibut. Great for big Sharks too.

I've got a small one I troll with, #9 I believe without looking. I like the Penn a lot, but do like the Okuma with line counter better when trolling crawler rigs for walleye.

Yeah, I used to pick them up cheap at pawnshops and such. Now they are retail + 10%.

I've got 2, maybe 3 in storage. We bought them used and it seemed we always had to repair the drag. People tightened it down then stored the reel for 6 months or 6 years. First thing I did when we reeled the line in to head back was to loosen the drag. We used them for Salmon and rockfish on the Monterey Bay back in the 90's when I lived there.

I have several old jigmasters, a couple of 4-0 and 6-0 Senators, and a 30SW international. They have all seen use on long range trips out of San Diego. The trips have more than doubled in cost over the last few years...so I may be selling them soon.

Had about a half dozen open faced bait casting reels of different makes for use on inland lakes here in Mi. Kids are all grown and gone now, I put the fiberglass rods and reels in an auction in hopes some other father would want them. I got $6 for each rod reel combo.Robert

Holy cow ..... Coney! I grew up on Benson Avenue. Climbed the fence and fished the back of "Korvette's" with my Sea Hawk rod and Ted Williams reel. Could see Sea Gate from there. Fished many nights by suicide jetty. Chunks with my Harnell and Squidder. Fished live spearing from the pier on a float rig with my Penn 920, 930, 940 and caught fluke and bass long before limits............ Fished all those rocks from the Gate to Sheepshead Bay with my Penn 716, 714, 710 and 704. Remember the weakfish in the 80's?
Anchored many a night off Manhatten beach or Norton's pt with my Jigmasters and Newell conversions and chunks.
Wow. I still have that stuff. Use it whenever i can.

I bought a Penn Beachmaster in the mid '60's from the PX in Lejeune. The last I saw it was a few years ago at my Dad's house in Pensacola... still working.
I bought a Penn spinning reel about 10 years ago to bass fish with, and still use it, too.

Have 20+ of them ranging from 10's up to 12/0's. Have a couple that have been Accurate or Tiburon tweaked along with Squidders and Jigmasters that I have magged for better casting.

My Uncle in NY, NY owned a sporting goods store. My Rawlings fielders glove and Penn 9m were Christmas presents from him when I was a child. I still have the glove, but the reel fell apart after the screws vibrated out (I took it everywhere with me during the summers). I now have another Penn 9m, and love it.

My other favorite reel is the wide-body Penn Squidder # 140. Mine was stolen from my car in Hatteras. I'm going to get another!
