    Your Cannon Pics

I did not make this cannon a member here did it for me in trade for a item I had. The mount I made for it goes lacking and I want to redo it. This is a pic of it he sent me showing the progress.

It fires golf balls not sure how far have not seen one land yet so I am looking for a longer range. Talked to another member he told me his is hitting around a mile. I look forward to see others and getting some ideals on how to design a mount.
Reloading to save money I am sure the saving is going to start soon

Here is my latest junk yard find...http://castboolits.gunloads.com/albu...chmentid=84317
It has to be repaired as they blew out the breech with a 60% Dupont stick ! It shoots the old Oil cans filled with whatever.
It should be a Blast when I get it fixed!

I am new here, but could not resist posting to this thread. My twin brother and I made this for shooting potatoes with black powder. It works just like the real deal, but I would not want to shoot any lead out of it. It is a 2.5" schedule 80 steel pipe for the barrel and a very heavy and thick 8" diameter steel pipe as the faux barrel with a steel pipe flange welded on the front and back to hold the barrel in place. The rear is plugged with a 2.25" ball hitch. The wheels are from an amish wagon wheel maker, but the carriage we made out of yellow pine and is solid as a rock. We like to dress up with our sons and march in our community parade on the 4th of July and then shoot off potatoes waiting for the fireworks to start.<br>

here is the same saluting the new year. I use 400 to 450gr of Fg and a wool sock for back pressure. A neigbours buddy said he can hear it at his place some 5 miles away. I light it off at the end of my driveway,,, the picture window shakes and buckels way to much.

This is not mine but a buddy that we shoot with. the winner of the accuracy challenge usually puts 3 shots on an 8 inch bull at 220 yards. our group has homemade guns anywhere from 1 inch to 2 1/2 inch. All are made by the shooter.

I just found this part of the forum, it's nice to have company. I built this myself with the exception of the wheels. Shoots 1 inch lead balls.

A bowling ball mortar I built in 2010.
It's a replica of the coastal defense mortars from the Civil War era.

I did a restoration on a 1/3 scale Mountain Howitzer a few years before that.
The 2" bore barrel is more like a ordnance rifle tube and has 36" Amish wheels.
I'll try to get a picture later.
