It ain't no secret! It gets tremendous fishing pressure I am somewhat amazed that it keeps producing like it does.

If I had a honey hole full of smallies I'd keep it a secret too!

Probably Lake Perry in NE KS. Crappie and Saugeye with an occasional giant Flathead. I am a crappie.com member also.

Ye olde honey holes!
A couple of places come to mind and nope ain't talkin.
#One. Freestone river right in the middle of a small mountain town about 6 miles from my house. Mid-June just after max runoff, few if any fisherfolk, 5 wght flyrod, #16 dense gray hackle dry, nice rainbows and everyone is drowning Powerbait in the lake.
#Two. Big river in AK. 8 wght flyrod, big wet uglies, dead drifted on the taut line swing, Bang! near end of swing, 10-14 lb airborne rainbows!
Trust but verify the honeyguide
Corry Lake, Eastern Ont....Bassin' don't get much better....
I don't care if anyone knows mine,1800miles of shoreline,189 miles long,SM,LM,crappie,Stripers,Walleye,Catfish,Bluegi ll the occasional Rainbow, outstanding scenery.
Any guesses?
Powell?

I love to fish , catching fish is just an added bonus.I live close to Lake Barkley , and Kentucky Lake.Still I prefer to fish a river , I fish mostly either the Tennessee ,Cumberland, or Ohio.I love fishing for big Catfish in the winter on the Cumberland down around Cumberland City, Tn.I will be going to Erin , Tn. for a week at the end of the month with 30 or so friends. We just go out and fish during the day and sit around the small 14 room motel at night and shoot the bull. There will be friends from KY,TN,IN,NC,GA,IL.MI, and Al.

Any place with fish where I don't need a boat. Never did Truman Lake, but used to watch the sail boats there. Seems like it has a rep for big blue cats also. Wanted to try Milford, did Tuttle creek a long time ago.
Big south fork river, been fishing there for 40 yrs. Walleye, small mouth an mudcats. Oh yeah take a skillet oil an meal. An don't forget good cold beer.
I had a honey hole for Smallies (caught my largest (by far)) in the area then TWRA built boat ramps every few miles and the jetfoot concept took hold and now it is only ok, well maybe not even OK anymore.

There is a little creek comes into the Cumberland river right there by the steam plant and one weekend back in the late 70s I caught essentially every fish one can catch in Tennessee, except brook trout musky and walleye in that little creek.
Canoe full of snapping turtles on a trotline too.
Ever share a canoe with a bunch of Pi$$ed off snappers?
Entertaining to say the least

East Walker River in NV, spot called the Elbow. Property owned by Paris Hilton's grandfather Baron Hilton. Keep hoping she will drop in for breakfast some morning but nothing yet. Mostly rainbows, some browns. Absolute quiet for the most part, beautiful scenery. The sandy soil yields deer tracks, bear tracks, mountain lion and an occasional desert big horn will show up for water. The surrounding area also holds pronghorn and sage grouse. Just up stream is a catch and release section of the river that is considered by the Eddie Bauer types to be trophy quality, not my kettle of fish. Rarely more than one other camper on non-holiday weekends, one of the wests best kept secrets. Don't tell anyone.
