Don't know about that Starmac, but I have been to Monkey's Eyebrow and I pass by Rooster Run most times touring our Distilleries with guests visiting this Great State of KY.

Why not borrow an idea from the french and from our shooting group and use a squirt gun as a kind of Beeday ( spelling is not my thing) . we could use them until they get banned I suppose.

hey, watch where ya point that thing!

Get rid of the toilet and squat...less smearage.

Any of you that have been to the middle east and used the "squatters" instead of the "sh#$#ers" will know what I'm talking about.

Man when I was single I could goto Costco and buy that mega pack and it would last me forever. The minute I got married it seemed I couldn't buy TP fast enough. I had to ask my wife what she was doing with it all.

We installed a "Biffy" bidet since my wife grew up using one. I thought that it would slow the paper use but it hasn't.

DRagon.... Regarding young ladies of the house and no matter what you tell them...

They learn very quickly when They buy tp for the whole house out of their meager allowance, with NO raise after explanations of "should cost" vs their current cost
First response: NO WAY!,, then you let 'me run out
Second response : THAT's soooo gross!!!
Third response : NO BIG DEAL....
FORTH: response: My allowance needs a raise
Fifth response: I'm out lend me some ....( not!)
So it goes for about two weeks when they realize maybe they don't need half a roll for a drop of pee.

Shortly thereafter they became pretty good campers and found ways to do without even more....

Much better for life lessons to be learned at this stage, then later, when slip-ups could have severe ramifications.

Before marriage ....a role of paper towel would last a year. Now I own stock in paper towel companies; we use a lot more, on what ...IDK.....but we use a lot of paper towel.

The women here use it by the hand full,no square counting just by the hand full. They don't understand the concept that soap and water will take a little pee or poop off of you.I remember the old Sears/Monkey Wards catalog days also. How you had to crumple the sheet to make it work the best

Thumbs down Necro Thread Update and RANT

Well deflation has hit the toilet paper industry!

The original study for this thread was done using Charmin Ultra Strong Megga Rolls which I still use. I just opened a new (may have been in storage for a year) package and as I was looking at the first roll I thought something is not right, it looks narrower than the old roll. Well I checked and Charmin has made the "squares" smaller.

    Dimensions on old package 4" X 4.27"

    Dimensions of new package 4" X 3.92"

Don't increase the price just give less product.

I been buying the 24 pack of big rolls of Cottonelle and they seem to last longer and work as well or better than the Charmin for those big jobs !

I started putting it away years ago. It used to be $9.99/case. Then the rolls got smaller at the same price. Then $14.99 for the smaller rolls. It might be $19.99/case now. I'm not sure. They seem to have slipped a different and smaller case into place.

My buddy said it so well I can't improve on it:

Wow! You are wiping at last year's prices!

How much TP in a years supply

Ran out of TP in the bathroom Sunday night. The 39yo wife and 14yo step daughter were to lazy to get more out of the basement until Wednesday night. At this rate what I have will last longer.

well ever since I stopped bein able to get that state park surplus paper (with the wood chips visible in it) the only way I have found to slow down my wife's usage is to stop buyin toilet paper altogether. Instead I buy paper towels and cut the roll in 1/3s....

just realized there might be a reason why she stays so mad at me

Yes I can be long winded. Yes I follow rabbit trails. Yes I admit when I am wrong. Your mileage may vary.
