    Herter's shell holders

I don't think many of you have or use a Herters press anymore, but I have two C presses that I use regularly. The other day I was mulling over designing an insert that would allow me to use Lee shellholders in the Herters press. I had a No. 21 Herters shell holder which is for .45 auto, 30-06 family, in the press and somehow I tried a .41 Mag. shell in it. Much to my surprize, it fit perfectly. But then I tried it in a Lee .45 Auto. shell holder and it wouldn't go. But now I do have one more cal. to add to my meager collection of Herter's shell holders.

A good machinist can duplicate the original Herter's adapter from a #1 or #21 shellholder. The Herter's adapter is the best one made for these presses.
