    Hahaha - I was born in 1961
Sadly, my first powder buy for reloading was in April 2013 - Universal Clays
I guess better late than never, huh?

Was given 700x as for shot shells in the early 70's. My first powder purchase was IMR 3031 for 243 in mid 70's.

1lb of Unique in the old square can, back in 1973 along with a brand-new "old model" Ruger Blackhawk in .357mag ($99 plus tax for the gun, plus a few bucks for the powder), which kept me shooting for a long time.

    W-231 for .45acp

When that dried up (late 1980's?), I switched to Bullseye.

I picked up some IMR 8208 a few years back. I heard some good things about it. I learned about working up loads slowly so you don't get popped primers, and that a chronograph is a great thing to have when using a surplus powder. Over all, quite an enjoyable experience and a wonderful powder. I can't bring myself to load up the rest of it.

A one pound canister of Red Dot in 1974. I had some of my old Winchester shotgun shell primers that I passed on to my nephew who is just starting to get into reloading.
