Woohoo! The wait has been so long, I can hardly believe it's finally done. I don't think I've ever turned over $100 so happily in my life.

I'm not sure where all the money is that I've "saved" by casting and reloading!

Holy moly! it's here at last. On the plus side, the decline of the euro in value means that this one will cost me a smidgen less than than last, if the Paypal Currency converter is to be trusted.

I received the mold today, 10 days after payment. Not bad. I am pleased with everything: what I got and the amount of time it took, except it came with no instructions. This is my first brass mold, so are there any special preparations to do to get it ready to cast other than lubricating the alignment pins and sprue plate hinge?

Got mine today. Can't wait to try it out, although it will likely be a little while.
Rockydoc, I scrub my mold and pins down real good with brake cleaner, then hot soapy water, then brake cleaner, then one more time with the hot soapy water. Rinse it off well and let it dry. Then install the pins that I want to use and lube the key points. Then I do a couple cycles of heat and cool. One more touch of lube and I am ready to start casting. I preheat my molds on a hotplate. Usually getting nice pretty boolits within just a few drops.

20:1 about 146gn and 126gn respectively with the deep cavity pins. Now another excuse to buy more lead.

I was pleasently surprised to find a package on the kitchen table containing another beautiful MP mold last night!
The only difference I find with brass compared to steel and aluminum is it seems to be a bit more finicky with temperature, i.e. not to hot, not to cold but just right. Just give it a nice pre-heat and as with any other mold give it some time for you to find the right temp and cadence. If it's your first hp mold, beware that you need to cast fairly quickly to keep the heat in the pins so that you get a complete fill out.
I have some overorder molds. If you want one send me PM
It got all the way from Slovenia to Huntington Beach where some feckless illiterate postal employee managed to mislay, or mis-deliver it. This positively stinks.
