    Should I re-size? Barrel cast .310 - Mold Drops .310 to .312

I slugged my M-1 Garand barrel at .310 (Muzzle end) and my NOE 311365 mold drops at .310 to .312.

Do you think it is necessary to re-size or can I go with lubing and gas check?

I did not do a chamber cast but I can if that is needed.

Any comments and input is appreciated.

I'd try unsized and see how they shoot. You just have to keep in mind that for best results you would want to size the neck .001" under your boolit diameter.

Are you saying that your cast bullets are .002 [.310-.312] out of round ?
As others have suggested, try some of each which is more fun that slugging your weapons throat which is the measurement that counts.

Your bore will definately size them down to match its dimensions.
I have been paper patching my 7.62 x 54 boolits to fit the chamber. The bore squeezes them down to fit also.

No..... not out of round, some checked are .310 while others are .312.

I have pan lubed 25 of these and will install gas checks, take em out and see how they perform.

How do you folks clean the excess lube from your boolits?

Going to use a .270 Lee Crimp die to attach the gas checks. Still need to make up a .270 round to use in the crimp die (a dud of course).
