    Powder around shotgun column

    This is what I have:

    WW AA Red hulls
    Green dot powder (18gr)
    CB4100-12 Claybuster wads.
    #4 Buck

Problem is how to keep powder under column?
I get bunch of static when the powder is dropped. After I seat the column I can see powder between the petals and side of hull even after using a small brush to push the powder down before seating column . I can even turn the hull with brass up and shake a few grains of powder from under the column.

    Whats a cure for this?

You are using the wrong wad...
You need the CB1100-12 or CB1118-12 wad for the AA hulls.

Hey Moose, thanks for the input. I thought they were referring to AA hulls when they had this recipe:

    Was this not the case?

    Thanks again!
