I've been working with the Lee 230 gr mold, PC, for several months. Definitely no match grade accuracy, but it's plenty accurate for my 10.5" PSA upper and a red dot. Nice and quiet over W-296 and a suppressor.

I Never got acceptable accuracy from cast in five different blackouts

BUT, “best” was in the 155-165 range and 2” @ 50 yards.
Thats supers and subs and everything in etween. Tried many bullets from the soupcan to the lee 230 and probably a dozen powders.

At same time gun shoots supers like this... This was a 150 Hornady sp hunting bullet and IMR4227 @ 100 yards for five shots. Ruger American 300 AAC Blackout.

Dang! That's some accurate shooting. I have this bullet, but it shot on par with my cast. I'll try your load since I got these bullet and same gun. What was your COAL?

I found 2 bullets that shot well in cast, first was NOE 153gr, even without gas check it was 1" or less at 50 yards. There is also 115gr RCBS that shot sub moa with tumble lube and when I found it likes to be seated long but with short overall length and round nose it doesn't feed well. I should also mention that NOE 130gr HTC and RCBS 130gr shoot descent. In my 7.62x40WT AR 153gr and 130gr HTC both shoot great, in fact I just shot 0.7" group @ 50yds 5 shots with 153gr no gas check and velocity avg 2114 fps using 22.5gr of 1680.

IIRC (as its what I always do) its as long as magazine allowed. Usually the AR style magazine is determining factory. Mine has the plastic RUGER mag, but dont think its allot longer... I prescribe to accuracy usually follows using longest possible seating. Its not my only accurate loading with this gun.

    Good luck!

Third pic down, from left side is about what I see from any and all cast in this caliber.

Third across top L-R is my 7Mag rifle not the Ruger.

These are all different bullets and loads. But mostly using 296 & 1680 with some 4227 loads. Bullets. Are Barnes 110, Speer 130, Sierra 125 Match. Speer 150 GD and Nosler 125 BT.

This, and the Lee 155 Harris bullet are very accurate over Reloder 7.

So I guess that's two votes for the Eagan MX2-30H,,,,,

The only bullet design that seems to keep coming up that doesn't seem capable of good accuracy in the BLK is the Lee 230gr boat tail. Many have gotten it to work "ok" up close, but, I think it's just almost guaranteed to malperform. It's like the 311413 of the Lee catalog.

NOE 311-247-FN over 4+ grn 700X (must have been a group buy but they have a 311-242-FN-J3 listed on their site)

Accurate and hits hard subsonic without a GC

I got good group 6 touching @ 50 with 31-142D, GC but ~1% Sb alloy, this is same load @ 100. My shooting is not the best. Got more loaded with higher Sb and Heat treated to try.

I do remember them being in several group buys but they were, at one point, a standard thing on his website. Accurate Molds has a 245gr that is identical, I have the Accurate molds version and it is very accurate at sub or supersonic velocities in all the 300's I've tried them in. Even worked well the 30-06 I had if pushed fast enough to stabilize.
