I started a thread in Group Buy Discussion about an idea I have for a slug that I would like some input on. How about a Lyman sabot style slug except having a .731 driving band at the top and bottom. FB

I've got a .50 T/C inline muzzleloader in which I shoot the .50 T/C Maxiball, a full-bore slug that engraves on the rifling on loading from the muzzle. For best accuracy, I lube the sabot's groves and load a felt wad between it and the powder. This works real well. If a full-bore slug can be successfully used in a rifled muzzleloader, it seems reasonable that the same thinking would work in a rifled 12 gauge barrel, even if loaded in a shell from the chamber. Please keep us posted on this possibility.
