    First cast boolits

Well I finally got to cast some bullets. My lead was 50/50 COWW and range lead. My mold is an Accurate 34-310B. These will be shot in my 338 Spectre at about 1050 fps. Everything went well for my first casting. My new Lee 4 20 pot worked with very few drips. I did have to do some experimenting with flow adjustment and height of mold to get good bullets. My bullets came out a little frosted but that's all right with me. This was too easy and I am hooked. I casted a total of 120 bullets. Thanks for all the help.

Those look great. What lube are you going to be using?

Gotta love a boolit that is longer than the case it is delivered from.

Well.. I am going to try Hi-Tek coating since these will be shot out of an AR. If it works I will stick with it

The 338 Spectre is a 10 mm magnum brass necked down to .338. It is a caliber designed to be shot from an AR at subsonic speed. It will also shoot other bullets faster 200gr at 1600 fps max pressure is 35,000 psi. It was designed by Marty ter Weeme of Teppo Jetsu he is the guy that designed the 458 Socom. Its a fun little cartridge that is super quite when shot through a 9 mm can.

    Those look excellent! Welcome aboard..

The Lee Pro 4-20 has been my best friend from the beginning. In fact I run 2 of them side by side. One to pour from, the other to heat more alloy.. Then switch.
