I'm using it in my star, but I don't have thermometer for the heater and I run the turn screw for pressure. When the house in warm during the summers, I don't need the heater. In the winter, I run it for a few minutes, then unplug and plug back in as needed. I would guess the temp it runs best for me is 75-80 degrees. I run the pressure screw at 10-15 turns from when it makes contact with the plunger assembly.
I have been using it in my star with 50 PSI air pressure and the PID set at 105 deg F., which has worked out well for me.
