    Re: new to me buckmark

That's the same one I got my household for Christmas last year. Bought it for an all around fun shooter. I wanted a ruger, but my wife said the rugers grip sucked. But she loves the feel of this one, chim on rimfire central has a very good write up and service diagram on this gun. I love mine, and my trigger was also awesome our of the box. I did put on a set of Williams fire sights though.

Bought mine back in the `90`s. Didn`t take long to discover it was more accurate than I could hold it to be. Had other shooters try it and want to buy it then and there. Still got it and it is still way more accurate than I am now with my funky eye problems.Robert

I've owned a couple Buckmarks, they both were finicky about ammo manufacturer.
Meaning I had alot of FTF issues with certain brands.

I've shot in a rimfire pistol league that was sponsered by the local gunshop and they are a authorized browning dealer, which meant about half of the shooters were shooting Buckmarks. WELL, that was enlightening, about half of the buckmarks had issues with FTF and jamming. None of those of us shooting a Ruger mark II or III had those issues. I'd high recomend a Ruger. I think the Buckmark is a poor design.
    Good Luck,
    Jon

Agreed, I shoot cheap bulk out of mine exclusively and haven't had an issue through about 2000. I have 4 mags for mine in my range bag, and a dandy speed loader for them.

I think winchester dropped the "wildcat" or redesigned it but they would jamb all the time .Never had problem with rem reg win or fed. Dont use the hot cci's
Check CDNN they did have mags last year
I traded mine . it was nice but guy saw it and asked if I would trade guns as he liked the stainless. didnt want to. But got a woodsman match. It dont shoot any better . Mainly cause I like to look at it .

I bought my Buckmark new in 2003, it has been a reliable and accurate pistol ever since. I have many thousands of rounds through it, almost all bulk stuff.
For cheap ammo, mine likes Blazer the best, but is reliable with absolutely everything I've tried.
Here she is, after some mods...

I love my Buckmark and I also have a Challenger II. Both of them shoot great. They eat all kinds of .22 ammo. I also put on William's sights. I researched the Buckmark holo sight and it got bad reviews. I use the Buckmark in my walks in the woods. Mine has wood grips and is not the camper model.

I got mine because I got a great deal on a used one (doubt it had 50 rds thru it). Came with a good holster and 3 mags for about 200.00 and couldn't pass it up. Most accurate pistol I own!
